The Better Station Coalition consists of concerned citizens living and working in Richmond, Virginia, who favor a functional and appropriately located bus transfer station for our city. The Coalition includes residents, businesses, restaurants and other commercial establishments. It also includes people interested in the deep historical roots of Shockoe Slip and Shockoe Bottom including the Lumpkins Jail, the Slave trail and Cemetery and other historical landmarks near the Main Street Station, and of course, the Station itself.
The Better Station Coalition believes that GRTC has failed to demonstrate that the proposed Main Street transfer station can co-exist with high speed rail.
